Nurturing black and golden honey drips over the suppressing, melted black pitch of masculinity. The strikingly strong character of the tar-conceived Queen bee shows the struggle, isolation, and defiance of women today and the vulnerability in becoming a mother.
Previously exhibited in the all female show: There’s a Good Girl, Saatchi and Saatchi, London. December 2014 – January 2015.
