I was asked to be a part of The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, which took over London for Easter 2012. The hunt was to raise awareness and money for two charities – Elephant Family and Action for Children.
200 artists were asked to design an egg and they were hidden around London for people to find. The project was sponsored by Fabergé. I took inspiration for the design of the egg from the destruction of the environment.
The little Blue Tit, Caeruleus, on top of the egg is the element of optimism. My hope is that through sensitivity and awareness we can nurture our habitat and environment back to health.
